Step 2: Download and fill in the Declaration of Interest Form and submit it at email@example.com.
Step 3: Attend a training workshop.
The Contributors' Pathway
Acquiring the EBIR certainly opens doors in your medical career. But did you know that it also enables you to venture on a path within the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe?
After having supported the examination as MCQ Contributor or Case Contributor for at least one year, you become eligible to train as an Examiner and finally qualify for Council Membership upon invitation.
'On behalf of the CIRSE Executive Committee, I would like to thank the many professionals who underwent training and are currently supporting the examination as examiners and contributors. We appreciate and acknowledge their commitment for Interventional Radiology and the IR Community.'
Anna-Maria Belli, CIRSE Past President
Workshops provide instruction in assessment theory and in the production of top quality MCQs and cases. As a participant, you will learn the following and more:
- the rationale for blueprinting
- key points of good and bad questions
- the ideal structure of examination items
EBIR educationalist Dr. Muirne Spooner will hold the courses, supported by expert examiners. For the March 2017 workshops, EBIR Examination Subcommittee Heads Dr. Colin Nice (Written Examination) and Prof. Fabrizio Fanelli (Oral Examination) will join the courses and share their experiences.
Once you have submitted the Declaration of Interest Form, your application will be reviewed and if approved you will receive an invitation for the next available workshop.
CME accredited training workshops are available on the occasion of EBIR examinations. Upcoming workshops include:
MCQ Writing Workshop: TBA
Case Writing Workshop: TBA
