Submit your abstract for ET 2025!

February 20, 2025

ET 2025 will take place from June 11-14 in Porto this year, bringing together dedicated interventionists from around the world for four days of concentrated discussion and education on embolotherapy.

There are just a few days left to submit your abstract and become a part of the world’s most impactful, innovative embolotherapy meeting!

“Participating in ET was an incredible opportunity.” Says Ms. Zuzanna Wojtczak, who presented at ET last year. “The congress provided me with a space to connect with experts, share my research, and gain valuable insights into cutting-edge embolotherapy techniques, all of which have directly enhanced my professional growth. I especially loved presenting my work there and engaging in thought-provoking discussions.”

ET 2025 will accept scientific abstracts, educational abstracts, FIRST@ET clinical trial abstracts presenting new data, and case reports.  Scientific and FIRST@ET abstracts may be chosen for oral presentation, while educational abstracts and case reports will be available to all attendees in the form of electronic posters.

“Presenting my research to leading European scientists felt comfortable,” says Dr. Nguyễn Ngoc Cương, last year’s Best Scientific Paper award winner. “I viewed this as an incredible opportunity to receive valuable feedback from experts, which will help me further improve care for my patients.”

As embolization has become a mainstay of interventional radiology practice, ET is an ideal platform for practitioners to deepen their understanding of common embolization procedures and learn from physicians who perform them every day.

Dr. Mohammed Shamseldin, the author of the most viewed poster at ET 2024, submitted an abstract on the topic of endoleaks. On the popularity of his presentation, he reflects “Endoleaks are a common complication which radiologists and vascular surgeons face on a daily basis. Deciding the best route and embolization material for treating endoleaks is a common discussion among interventional radiologists, which makes the topic interesting for my colleagues … The feedback [I received] was quite positive, especially regarding the cases presented in the poster.”

Ample time will also be given to new, cutting-edge treatments that are gaining in evidence and popularity, for example, MSK embolization.

Dr. Pedro Marinho Lopes received top ratings for his abstract concerning MSK embolization last year. “Musculoskeletal embolization is undoubtedly a hot topic in the interventional radiology community. The promising results achieved so far indicate that this field could significantly transform our practice, particularly given the high patient volume it could address. ET, as a congress entirely dedicated to embolization, is the ideal platform for this type of presentation … The event’s size also fosters direct interaction and valuable feedback from experts in the field.”

NEW! The MSK embolization case competition

For the very first time, ET will include a case competition on the topic of MSK embolization. This is in response to the increasing popularity of these interventions worldwide, and to the call for further research and data on the topic.

This competition will give a platform for practitioners to share their clinical knowledge while networking and getting feedback from leaders in the field. All IRs are invited to submit their cases on this topic, and the top five candidates will be given a chance to present their work on stage at ET 2025.

The competition has just opened! Win your place on stage – submit your MSK embolization case by March 27th!
