The third ETF webinar of 2024 focused on the topic of kidney tumours. Attending participants had the change to learn how to diagnose kidney tumours, performing biopsies, and the treatment of the tumours. The international faculty shared tips and tricks as well as presented kidney tumour cases, including CT-guided ablation in renal cell carcinoma, embolization, and post-ablation bleeding.
ET 2024 Webinar: Introduction to IR, a day in the life of an IR in Portugal
In the second webinar of 2024, in collaboration with the Portuguese Society of Interventional Radiology (APRI – Associação Portuguesa de Radiologia de Intervenção), the ETF discussed the IR training pathway and a day in the life of a junior IR in Portugal, and activities for trainees and students at the upcoming CIRSE Annual Congress in Lisbon.
ETF 2024 Webinar: First step into IR
In the first webinar of 2024, ETF discussed the initial steps to get involved with IR. The webinar’s international faculty presented on the status of IR training in Europe and provided the participants with tips and tricks on how to get involved with IR at university and after completing their undergraduate studies.
ETF 2023 Webinar: Different sides of IR
In the final webinar of 2023, the ETF homed in on daily practice of interventional radiologists in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Switzerland, giving the participants an insight into how the specialty is practiced in different European countries. The attendees also had a chance to test their IR knowledge in the case interpretation quiz prepared by the speakers.
ETF 2023 Webinar: Basic IR procedures + Case Interpretation Quiz
In the second webinar of 2023, the ETF focused on biliary, arterial, and venous interventions. The participants received practical advice on the angiography, PTA and embolization cases, as well as PTBD, biliary stenting and TACE. The presentations were supplemented by a case interpretation quiz prepared by the speakers.
ETF 2023 Webinar: Trainees and research
This webinar focuses on research in IR. A panel of experts and distinguished researchers in the field shared their experience and discussed what it takes to pursue an academic career, giving insights into the field and practical tips and tricks to participating attendees.
ETF 2022 Webinar: IR and diabetes
This webinar on IR and diabetes presented fundamental knowledge on carotid artery stenting and lower limb revascularisation; it also included case presentations to show how interventional radiology can treat diabetes.
ETF 2022 Webinar: Low back pain
This ETF webinar on low back pain taught the basics of treating radicular pain and vertebral compression fractures. Case presentations helped to describe the indications as well as the pros and cons of different infiltration and vertebral augmentation techniques.
ETF 2022 Webinar: Men’s health in interventional radiology
This webinar illustrated the basics of varicocele and prostate artery embolisation. The indications and evidence of both procedures were discussed along with case presentations.
