Expert management of DVT in 2025
Management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) centres on preventing complications like pulmonary embolism (PE), relieving symptoms, and reducing the risk of clot formation. Recent advancements in thrombus removal technologies have significantly transformed the treatment landscape and improved patient outcomes.
Interventional radiologists play a critical role in DVT care and, ideally, can be the primary go-to person in hospitals and communities for all related concerns. This webinar will explore the latest diagnostic techniques for thrombus removal, highlighting their clinical importance. Key topics, such as intravascular ultrasound, vessel preparation, and venous stenting, will be emphasized underlining their clinical importance and integration into current practices. Interventional radiologists who are proficient in DVT treatment techniques can manage a wide range of patients, including those requiring pelvic vein embolization, venous ulcer treatments, IVC filter removals, IVC reconstructions, and varicose vein treatments.
