Same-day discharge: New opportunities for IR
Clinical services and patient care are at the heart of CIRSE’s vision for the future of interventional radiology. As minimally invasive treatments, interventional radiology procedures are ideally suited for same-day discharge and provide unique opportunities for IRs to work in an independent setup while providing high-quality patient care from head to toe. With increasing pressures on healthcare systems and hospital administrations, same-day discharge can also present a profitable business case for interventional radiologists.
This CIRSE webinar, conducted in collaboration with Terumo Interventional Systems, will explore the current status and benefits of same-day discharge in IR and discuss how interventional radiology offers unique opportunities for outpatient care. Participants will learn about the main obstacles for same-day discharge in IR today and receive practical advice on how to overcome them with a suitable setup and basic technical skills to ensure safe early discharge.
