How to get there?
Located in the southern region of Austria’s province of Carinthia, the charming municipality of Poertschach lies at the northern shore of Lake Woerthersee. Poertschach is known for this warm, pleasant climate in the summer as well as its stunning architecture. Visitors are especially drawn to the two-kilometer-long lakeside promenade along the pristine turquoise-blue lake.

Travelling by car
Poertschach am Woerthersee is easily reached from all directions. The congress venue is only about a three-hour drive from Munich, Vienna, Zagreb, or Venice.
Travelling by train
The town has a main train station located a short distance from the congress centre. Train tickets can be booked through the Österreichische Bundesbahnen (Austrian Train Service) webpage. When booking train tickets choose the destination called ‘Poertschach/Woerther See Bahnhof’.
Travelling by plane
A number of airlines fly to the Carinthian city of Klagenfurt from Vienna, Cologne/Bonn, Munich, Berlin via Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Leipzig, London Stansted, Stockholm, and Gothenburg. Please note: Klagenfurt airport has recently been cancelling many flights on short notice. In this case, it is recommended fly into other Austrian airports such as Graz, Salzburg, and Vienna and go by train or car to Poertschach. Another option is the Ljubljana airport, located 1.5 to 2 hours from Poertschach.
